    Recent Professional Training

    Selected Professional Learning & Conferences

  • Missouri School Boards’ Association (MSBA) Annual Conference — October 2025
Attended sessions focused on district governance, educational leadership, and policy considerations, with attention to how board-level decisions impact instructional priorities and program sustainability.

  • AI in Schools: Instructional Use & Policy Awareness
Participated in workshops focused on the responsible use of AI in schools, building on learning from an AI Bootcamp experience. This professional learning supported my understanding of instructional applications, digital literacy considerations, and emerging district-level conversations around AI guidelines and policy development.

  • Ongoing Professional Learning (self-directed) — I engage in continuous, self-directed professional learning focused on project-based learning, digital literacy, and STEAM/makerspace design. This learning is grounded in daily practice and includes designing cross-curricular PBL experiences, aligning instruction to ISTE, AASL, MASL, and Common Sense frameworks, and developing safe, student-centered makerspace programming. Rather than one-time workshops, this learning is iterative and directly informs my instructional decisions, program design, and collaboration with teachers.

Each of these learning experiences strengthens the work I do every day by supporting students as they grow as readers, creators, and thinkers, while partnering with teachers to bring engaging, purposeful learning into the library.
