The library supports responsible technology use by establishing clear expectations, shared language, and consistent systems for student accountability. Instruction emphasizes caring for devices, using digital tools appropriately, and seeking help in responsible ways so technology supports learning rather than disrupts it.
Chromebook Care Instruction
Students receive direct instruction on Chromebook care and responsible use through a structured slideshow. This instruction is delivered at the start of the year and revisited as needed, ensuring expectations are clear, consistent, and accessible to all learners.
REAL Chromebook Care Expectations
Chromebook care is aligned with the school’s PBIS framework. The REAL Chromebook Care poster reinforces shared expectations for being Respectful, Engaged, and Accountable when using school-issued devices, helping students connect behavior expectations to daily technology use.
Student Support and Accountability
A Chromebook Help Form provides students with a clear, appropriate process for requesting support. This system promotes independence, reduces classroom interruptions, and reinforces responsible problem-solving when technical issues arise.
